Top Construction Safety Resources
Hey! We are so excited to be sharing our first Safety Blog Post today. We have set out to share our safety tips and recommendations monthly from here on out in the year 2020 and the years to follow to inform the public and those in our industry of the newest updates, headlines, or intelligence. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! So .. stay tuned for many more in the future but in the meantime here it goes!
Hammers Construction is dedicated to providing our team members with a safe and comfortable environment to perform in. We pride ourselves on our OSHA 30 certified lineup of field staff and subcontractors. Our subcontractors are required to be just as accredited as we are when it comes to safety.
The following websites, in no particular order, come highly recommended by our Safety Director, Robert Hernandez. Robert has been on the Hammers Construction team for almost two years. He is from El Paso, Texas and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. Robert is an army veteran and retired after 23 years of service where his work had an emphasis in safety. Robert is married with two kids and has over 15 years of experience as a Safety Director.
a. The International Safety Equipment Association is a great website to gain information on equipment uses, safety standards and even training on almost any safety topic.
a. The National Safety Council is a one-stop-shop for all of your safety training needs. Extensive Training courses are provided on Work, Home and even Road Safety.
a. The Center for Construction Research and Training is a nonprofit organization that focuses on construction workers’ safety and health. They provide many resources and training courses to become more familiar with construction safety.

Hammers Construction has a strong, dedicated team of subcontractors that we work with. Our Project Managers are then able to choose from the best of the best. In order to be considered to join our lineup, a subcontractor must obtain and/or provide the following documents.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction training classes are a must when it comes to safety on a job site. Classes are offered in multiple languages and provide critical information in preventing accidents or injury at a job site.
